In a VERY SPECIAL EPISODE, the Revs, on behalf of the Southeastern Synod, challenge the New England Synod to a fund-raising battle for world hunger!*
*May or may not have to do with the BIG GAME that is planned for February 5 between teams that come from each of our synods. We can’t say what it is because it is trademarked but it rhymes with Schmooper Toll.
Death comes to all of us, and we get to escort people through the process of saying goodbye, even while we’re doing some grieving of our own. The Revs chat about death, funerals, and theology. Thanks for listening!
This is our first Revs with a guest, and hopefully not the last. Thanks to our Bishop, the Rev. Julian Gordy, for some great conversation! We will be posting it in two parts…stay tuned for part 2 next week. Enjoy!
Two things happened this summer: The Lutherans (ELCA) chose a new bishop who happens to share one of our names (hint: NOT SCOTT), and we both read Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will to Lead, by Sheryl Sandberg. These things are related, and we wanted to talk about women’s leadership, what we’ve both learned about gender tendencies, and how it can make the world a better place for all of us.
(We also got a puppy, but that’s beside the the point).
